The Date Night Look- Black Smokey Eye

When I think of date night makeup, I think of sultry eyes and subtle lips. In this tutorial I used a MAC concealer in NW40 to act as a neutral base for the colors that I layer on top. Next I put on a NYX Jumbo Pencil in Black Bean up to the crease of my eyelid. After this application it is necessary that you set the liquid jumbo pencil with a eyeshadow. I chose a black eyeshadow out of my 10 peice NYX palette called Supermodel. As a transition color I used the brown from another 10 peice NYX palette called Secret World and used the shimmering beige color in that same palette as my highlight color on my browbone. On my cheeks I used MAC blush in Love Rush. On my lips I used NYX lip pencil in bloom and a pink lips stick from Wet n' Wild #528A. I usually don't do this, but I have to point out a faux pas of mine. I used a banana colored HD translucent powder from Ruby Kisses to set my concealer and in regular light it looks great, but with the flash on it looks powdery and white (NOT CUTE). In the future I will sent my undereye concealer with a loose powder lighter than my normal shade and use my translucent powder to set all of my makeup.
